The Local Government Unit of San Esteban proudly congratulates Municipal Mayor Maria Divina Gracia Elaydo-Etalin,MD,MPA,MPH for receiving a Plaque of Appreciation during the Culminating Ceremony of the 31st Police Community Relations (PCR) Month Celebration. The award was presented in recognition of her outstanding support, unwavering commitment, and invaluable contributions in strengthening police-community partnership and advancing the programs and initiatives of the Philippine National Police. The recognition was conferred by the Ilocos Sur Police Provincial Office (ISPPO) under the leadership of Provincial Director PCOL Agosto M. Asuncion. The Civil Service Commission (CSC) Ilocos Sur, headed by Provincial Director Marina Garcia, conducted a reorientation seminar at Sen. Pres, Ernesto Maceda Farmers’ Civic Center of LGU San Esteban covering Ethics in the Workplace, Flexible (Compressed) Work Arrangements, Rules on Leave, Employee Dress Code, Standards of Conduct, and Handling Administrative Discipline. The activity was made possible through the full support of Municipal Mayor hon. Maria Divina Gracia Elaydo-Etalin,MD,MPA,MPH and Municipal Vice Mayor Hon. Ray M. Elaydo II,MPA reaffirming the local government’s commitment to promoting professionalism, integrity, and excellence in public service. Participated in by permanent and casual employees of LGU San Esteban, the seminar provided valuable updates on Civil Service policies and regulations, strengthening employees’ understanding of their roles, responsibilities, and ethical obligations. The activity also reinforced the importance of accountability, discipline, and adherence to government standards in delivering efficient and quality public service to the people of San Esteban.

The Local Government Unit of San Esteban proudly received several recognitions during “PANAGYAMAN: The Culminating Program” of the Ilocos Sur Resilience Festival 2026, honoring the municipality’s outstanding commitment to disaster risk reduction, environmental protection, and community resilience. Representing the municipality in receiving the awards were Mayor Maria Divina Gracia Elaydo-Etalin, PCPT Ivan Cliff K. Ananayo, MDRRMO Mark Allan Angeles, MENRO Rosemarie C. Etrata, and PB Joseph Enrado. A total of 54 farmer-beneficiaries received indemnity checks during the Batch 4 distribution for the 2025 Wet Cropping Season, providing financial assistance to those whose palay crops were affected by typhoons and were insured under the crop insurance program. The distribution aims to help farmers recover from agricultural losses and support their continued farming activities. The indemnity assistance serves as a vital safety net, enabling beneficiaries to cope with the challenges brought about by natural calamities. This initiative was carried out under the leadership of Municipal Mayor Hon. Maria Divina Gracia Elaydo-Etalin, MD, MPA, MPH, and Municipal Vice Mayor Hon. Ray M. Elaydo II, MPA, reaffirming the local government’s commitment to supporting the welfare and resilience of San Esteban’s farming community.

The Local Government Unit of San Esteban proudly welcomes the opening of the first O! Save Grocery Store branch in Ilocos Sur, located in the municipality of San Esteban. Under the leadership of Municipal Mayor Hon. Maria Divina Gracia Elaydo-Etalin, MD, MPA, MPH, Municipal Vice Mayor Hon. Ray M. Elaydo II, MPA, the LGU extends its warmest welcome to O! Save Grocery Store as it prepares to begin operations. The establishment of this new grocery store is expected to provide residents with greater access to affordable and quality products while creating employment and business opportunities for the local community. This milestone reflects the municipality’s continuing progress and commitment to economic growth, investment, and improved services for the people of San Esteban.

The Municipal Government of San Esteban, led by Mayor Dr. Maria Divina Gracia Elaydo-Etalin and Vice Mayor Ray “RJ” M. Elaydo II, together with the Sangguniang Bayan, proudly expresses its support for the call for “12 MILYONG LAGDA PARA SA MATATANDA, UNIVERSAL SOCIAL PENSION, NGAYON NA!” Through a Municipal Resolution, the Municipality of San Esteban joins the growing nationwide call for the immediate passage of a Universal Social Pension law that will uphold the welfare, dignity, and well-being of our senior citizens. As part of the celebration of National Disaster Resilience Month 2026, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC) and the Municipal Health Office (MHO) of San Esteban led by MDRRMO Mark Allan Angeles and Dr. Coniflor B. Umalla successfully conducted a Blood Letting Activity aimed at promoting volunteerism, preparedness, and community resilience. The activity was conducted in partnership with Ilocos Sur Provincial Hospital Gabriela Silang and Mariano Marcos Memorial Hospital and Medical Center, with the participation of volunteer blood donors from various sectors of the municipality. This meaningful initiative was made possible through the full support of Municipal Mayor Hon. Maria Divina Gracia Elaydo-Etalin,MD,MPA,MPH and Municipal Vice Mayor Hon. Ray M. Elaydo II,MPA conducted a meeting for the upcoming Ilocos Sur Siglat Festival 2026. Siglat Festival aims to recognize the dedication of the Ilocos Surians in the fields of academics, research, sports, governance, management, leadership, and legislation that contributes to the development of the province of Ilocos Sur.

The Local Government Unit of San Esteban headed by Municipal Mayor Hon. Maria Divina Gracia Elaydo-Etalin,MD,MPA,MPH and Municipal Vice Mayor Hon. Ray M. Elaydo II,MPA conducted a joint meeting on Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC) / Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC) / Special Drug Education Center (SDEC) together with LGOO VI Russel De Peralta. The joint meeting was held at the Executive Bldg. Hall wherein they discussed and cascades the updates of each team/departments. It was attended by Departments Heads of LGU San Esteban, Official personnel from various line agencies such as the PNP, BFP, PCG, PM, Barangay Captains headed by LNB Pres. Gerwin G. Garcia.
